Semi-contact Kickboxing Competition

Semi – Contact Kickboxing is the most practised form of completive kickboxing practised worldwide.
Each round is set to run a specified amount of time one minute and thirty seconds is the general rule. Each opponent must score as many points as possible to win, each time a point is scored the match is stopped and the points are awarded to the fighter. 1 point for a punch to the head or the body, 1 point for a kick to the body, 2 points for a kick to the head, 2 points for a jumping kick to the body, and three points for a jumping kick to the head. All techniques should be controlled as not to injure your opponent. The match is usually on a matted area with three referees. A centre referee and two corner referees. A majority decision must be made for points to be awarded.

Semi contact or points fighting is the choice of most martial artists. Other categories include, musical forms, self-defence, Extreme kicks and even breaking, with something for every one to take part in or watch as a spectator the sport of kickboxing has lots to offer.

Headguard , gumshield, body guard, sparring gloves, shin pads and footpads all items are available to order in our shop, however equipment will be provided.
